iOS settings: auto-capitalisation disabled

quite some time ago i wrote a post in which i ranted about how i got disppointed by esperanto being advertised to me as “very simple”, yet i was able to find so many ways to make it simpler still.

so… i'm creating a language (as a passion project, not really expecting it to be actually used) in which i'm focusing on simplicity – and one of those simplifications is… completely dropping capital letters. why?

Slurs are derogatory terms weaponised by the oppressor to attack the oppressed. Not the other way around.

Among people who create websites or apps there's an understanding that UX, user experience, is massively important. We know that most users either don't have the technical knowledge to use software that isn't intuitive, or they simply don't have time to be bothered to get to know an app that isn't easy to use (and they have many alternatives to switch to).

So I'd think that ease of use of one's products is a common concern among companies of all industries, right? Well, I then moved to a new place and had to assemble a lot of furniture… What an absulute UX nightmare it was!

@LesJazd on Twitter: Liberałowie są mniejszością, a określenie

Są całe grupy społeczne, które cierpią przez dyskryminację, marginalizację, szczucie, poniżanie i nierówne traktowanie.

A Leszek Jazdzewski myśli że zna to uczucie, bo… ktosio go nazwało „libkiem” 🤦

It's not the kind of post I usually write, but you know, I've been a full blown adult for a while now, so why wouldn't I start ranting about some boring chores, huh? 😅

No, seriously, my laundry went from an exhausting and time consuming housework to something I just casually spend a few minutes a week on – and I'm so excited about that that I need to share.

The name “foreplay” implies that it's just an introduction phase to the “proper” sex.

Just like the name “starter” / “appetiser” / “entrée” means that, well… no one comes to a restaurant just to eat that.

But sex isn't like that at all. It can still be fucking awesome without any need for the penetration obsession.

Sometimes it takes people a long time to figure out their gender and sexuality (and it's perfectly okay!) I was 27 when I came out as pansexual, and honestly it's not even that late. Still, it makes me feel sad about all time “wasted” not knowing who I am and being confused AF.

So today I'd like to take a moment to rant about three of the awful things that contributed to that.

Wygląda na to, że konserwatywne snowflejki mają kolejny powód do strachu. Tym razem idzie o jedną z najokropniejszych obelg, jaką można kogoś nazwać:

“osoba”.

Tak, kurwa, “osoba”. Obrażają się o “osobę” 🤦

My favourite quote from professor Richard Dawkins is not the one where he calls the God of the Old testament a “capriciously malevolent bully”, or any of those where he otherwise openly mocks religion.

It's one where he doesn't even mention religion at all, even though he's destroying its very foundations.

I'm on a quest. A quest to find two words: one to describe gender, sexual and romantic minorities, and one to describe the rest.

I know, the title gives away the result, but please bear with me while I explain how I got there 😉

Wikipedia page: Legality of polygamy

Aparently, this question is getting asked more and more often nowadays, so let me put in my two cents worth. Are polyamorists part of LGBTQ+? And I don't mean those who, like myself, are both pansexual and poly, or both trans and poly, because of course we are. I mean: does polyamory itself make you part of the community?
